oooh so tired. but one quick update!

Manda brought me along to Korean dinner in the city that was treated by the kind people at MOH Holdings on Saturday... not gonna be a full post. just some photos!

Haha... the rest of the photos of that night in a later blog post... i just wanted to blog cos i accomplished so much more work than i've ever done since I got back to Melb this time.. it's awesome! Also, I might be running for the LTU Singsoc after all.. media manager.. i'm always online anyway. Thinking of starting a blog for them too... w00ts.

I wanted to also mention that I'm so glad my mood has been slowly lifting... and i'm trying to rise above my previous feeling of inferiority and depression? Just in time for the birthday too! but i'm not expecting much this year... just some love please! :D

HAHA this is me trying to be as Japanese cutesy as I can.. i like it.. cos i look mad happy :P

I was a bit skeptical at first when I took it to try... I suppose I just really wanted to know how I'd look in a bandage dress these days. Not really feeling up top about my size.. I'm not saying i'm fat! I'm just saying i've been gaining bulk.. PLUS this dress has horizontal stripes, so that tends to add bulk too.. Honestly, it is a very  very tight fitting dress right now... like, if i gain any more fats at all, it'd explode! :P Glad it doesn't LOOK that bad though.. not to that extent at least.

I still bought it in the end cos it's a super good deal... and it's a good motivation for me to slim down (long and sloowww painful process to get me motivated to exercise T_T) Also, i thought it manages to sculpt my body to give me curves! Like, able to cinch my waist quite a bit.. and well.. enhance other areas. HAHA. Please provide honest feedback if you think i shouldn't wear that out. hahaa.

Yupyup. This was also the day where I later got the flaming garnet lips.. since i'm currently watching "burlesque" (the movie, like.. 3rd time!!), i'm re-excited about the look! hahaha. I took a few shots that day.. and here's two more. haha.

For anyone interested, i used the "Lord Kelvin" effect. (: Instagram is my convenient way of posting photos on twitter. Also great cos i can add effects to it anytime i want.. and they can be super pretty and enhance the effect of the photos. However, Instagram is not actually my favourite photo app. There's a free app called "lomo lomo" as well... and i just love their lomo cams (they provide 2) and several lenses. so i love the "actionsampler" (where there r 4 pix in a 2x2 grid). So as you can guess, yes yes... i've an iphone now! haha. it's really very easy to use actually. You'd think something so "high tech" would be idiot-unfriendly. But it is very 2nd-nature! I think it's actually more 2nd nature to d/l apps. play games...msg... EVERYTHING but CALLING. haha. i found the phonebook.. calling ppl... those are the most annoying features to use. which is ironic, cos a phone's basic function is well, for phone calls. haha. Having said that, it gets easier once you get used to the phone so it's not a major issue. So let's not distract.. having a good phone like this means i've a good camera on the ready anytime!! What i wore that day.

I love my baggy batwing black top from Almost Famous. Had it for a while now, still trusty for casual yet dressy look! I wore dark colours to accentuate my red lips that night. Lipstick has faded in this photo tho.. And I LOVE my large faux pearl necklace from diva (: Paired with jeans.. and i'd say... heels! (i didn't cos i was afraid i couldn't handle it. settled for gladiators instead)

Sooo. coming to my main point of what made me wanna blog today.. I've been looking at reebonz.com for a few days now.. they have exclusive sales on branded goods for much cheaper. Balenciaga is on right now.. and if u notice, i have an Inspired balenciaga in the photo above. Haha. i like their weekender motorcycle design.. but inspired is all i can afford now :P In fact, i've been looking at miu miu (absolute fave!!).. prada, gucci (Also nice). I'm most excited about the vintage chanel and vintage LV events coming up next week.. the vintage stuff... soooo nice! i love the quilt stuff on chanel too. Quilt is nice! (thinking of the hearts quilt by Samantha Thavasa..) but the $$$s just makes me feel sad.. I don't think I can justify to myself for splurging like that! And i'd wanna take super good care of them.. so i'm not sure I could here.. :S 

I want to get myself a present tho!! And I realise... although i've always been such a clothes freak, i wanna splurge on amazing shoes and a bag for myself :D ACCESSORIES! hee.. soooo... i don't know. i won't have time BEFORE my birthday.. but maybe i can give myself a month to feel less guilty for shopping big time hehe. SOOO. Personal goal for bag and shoes set! Expect photos sooonnn.. Also, if anyone wants to suggest shoes and bags online, please do!! I do not rule out online shopping, especially for bags. but a bit more iffy on shoes... hehe ok now i'm excited..

I was feeling down for quite a bit the past few weeks.. but I don't know.. took the courage to do something today. Hoping it'll change the course of things.. it'll make a big impact on my life for sure.. but i have thrown the ball out. Hope it got caught well.. Waiting, oh waiting. But somehow... i feel so much better already. Cos I did something I really wanted to do, for myself... and i believe i fought hard w myself.. and it hasn't been for a while. I'm also excited of things to be... hopefully I'm not alone in feeling this (:  xxo

Wow, that was a really looong hiatus.. I'm gonna try to get more motivation to update.. I actually feel like giving this place a facelift so that I'd feel much more inclined to upkeep the place and write more (:

I decided to break the silence by blogging about a satisfying shopping experience yesterday ^^ got some super cheap deals and well. they look awesome too! ;)

First stop. RUBI SHOES! I've been looking for some close toed flat shoe for some time now... Sports shoes don't go with everything and can be bulky. Everything else I have are boots (yes, i'm afraid of cold most of the time in Aus), a pair of sandals, thongs and clinic shoes.. (oh yes, and a stash of heels that I won't be able to handle except for balls and dinners :P) Usually, I lack confidence in RUBI cos their quality tends to be quite shabby and well, just uncomfortable..but!!! I found these... super casual and cute. also, when i slipped them on... feels amazing!! Soft.. but still supportive (: I hope it's not just first impressions. I hope it feels even better n better upon walking hee.

i know you must be like "this is super common... what are you raving on about?!" well, it's $10!!! haha. try to find your size if it's still available.. they've other shoes on sale too. wedges at 15/20. some shoes.. 2 for 25, 2 for 30 (: yea, pardon my cheap thrill. I also bought a pair of pink plastic aviator sunnies (just for $5!!)

And then i went searching for makeup cos I recently watched some Michelle Phan videos and just got soooo excited abt makeup again! hahaah. The thing i'm really lacking is eyeshadow, so I bought these... if you're near Northland Shopping centre in Melbourne. u can go check out this booth that is near KMart, sells cosmetics at warehouse prices!

Haven't tried any of those tho, so no comments for now. I also bought a concealer, skin primer and a brush from Body Shop (: Ahhh.. here comes the exciting bit. I was also very inspired by Michelle Phan's Lancome video about every girl owning a RED lipstick! I always hated how I looked with lipstick, i just cannot phatom HOW ppl carry it off! I've long assumed I couldn't. not at least till I was possibly middle aged! I thought the super bright reds would only be beautiful on super pale skinned women, like Dita Von Teese, or like Marcia Cross from desperate housewives... oh! Or the look Xtina spotted in Burlesque! Yes exactly, it brings out contrast and an awesome burlesque look! This is what brings me to my next topic..

Noo... it's not just a random camwhore pic of me... it's me. and a little something extra! To be fair, I didn't even really pose in this photo...

I think it's actually more amazing how I have people who think I look like the Vintage White movie stars,while some others immediately thought of oriental movie stars! Either way, i'm loving the statement lipstick red cos the vintage beauty look is definitely one that I've always coveted, just never KNEW I could pull off! the lips pop so much, and apparently they make my eyes look huge too!

Sad thing though, I didn't actually BUY this stick, I merely just got this lovely lady at Body Shop to help me try it on.. I'm now itching to go get this colour though... expect my wardrobe to have additions just to match this new look! ahaha. Thoughts? (:
