sigh.. was pretty prepared to stay longer in aus. even if it's all the way till the end of year, yea that's what i felt even as we were leaving glenn that morning. and in just a short 2 weeks, i now feel mighty mighty upset that i've to go back ): rahhh.

after meeting all my friends, eating all that food. meeting all the ppl i have known and cared about. eating virtually any kind of cuisine i wanted. not having to feel the torturous cold (i hear 4 degrees??) esp at night. getting some quiet now which i expect i won't really have for next week at least. haha. damn my "homebodiness" is creeping back slowly, i'm gonna have to be kickstarted again to the life in melb..

i do have ppl i miss in melb of course.. and i have belongings there too.. n i expect there'd be more potential fun this semester. but somehow the more i think back on the last few days.. and the measly 4 more days i have here, i just feel super upset.. it's not enough time.. altho yea, i'm pretty sure i can probably get back real soon. last sem DID go by quite fast..

don't really like this feeling. makes me feel like the old me 5 months ago who was, i dunno, less grown up. but i suppose it'll always be in me to wanna be home. to be sentimental. and to miss ppl n things.. i get stubborn when i care for things and people, i do not wanna change my mind. i just wanna hold on, despite everything. foolish? i dunno. well.. no matter what, i'll still have to let go of physically being here at least.. in 4 days..

Busybusy.

hello all. Blogger's being very screwy on my computer, so I'll just try to make do, and hopefully the post will turn out looking fine on my blog aha ^^

Been busybusy out and about. so haven't had the time to blog. When i was home, i was mostly feeling v tired and sickly gah. spent the last day and a half lying in bed just trying to recharge.. didn't seem to work. So anyways, i finally dragged myself up to go lone shopping, haven't done much shopping.. just a lot of eating aha. Went Bishan... took the new circle line. 4 minutes from Serangoon to Bishan. brilliant! haha. Had a long walk though, and under the sun too.. thanks to my lil nincompoop brother. (yes di u r one. at least for this instance. n if ur reading this...) walked from the station to RI and back to collect his silly HCL cert. n realised he had more than a year to collect it but didnt! and now he needs it or sth, so i've to collect it cos he's got an MC, and resting at home. gahhh.

but anyways, walked back to J8 and today i managed to comb the entire mall! haha. was looking for nice dresses, didn't find any :P nothing unique anyway. or practical for melb. Also couldn't find cheap mildly-heeled sandals or other random shoes that attract me lots. No bag caught my eye either. that's sad. I did however get a uber girly-pink pouch for my coins seeing as my river island wallet has died ): thanks to the hugeeee aussie coins --" it saddens me!! oh yea. i'm also on a slow hunt for a new wallet maybe..

i did my nails cos they were getting real long n colours fading uglily. also bought a new plain hairclip and a white bow hairtie. LOVE! hehh. n a few days back i got myself one of those blair waldorf-ish bowtie hairbands. got the tinier one cos i wanted to be able to wear it for casual outing as well wahaha. didn't spend that much despite how it sounds. pics the next time since i'm charging my camera..

Let's see.. met the girls last Fri... awesome awesome! (: Still as funny as ever. And Jaime and Sam are getting so taitai in the making lol. Not really taitai. more like high maintenance but n leaving boys in the dust. HAHA. Shared all the goss. Expect to hear more the next time. When we've more time too! Had dinner at pizza hut lol, then we went to Harry's and I had a heineken. We were early so I had it at the crazy hour price of $6! Camwhored throughout. Pretty funny n crazy.. waiting for more photos from CM..

Sat was stay-home day. Cooked Bak Kut teh for the family.. haha. my style :P think they pretty much enjoyed it. Went downstairs to have zi char dinner in the evening, granny's welcome back treat for me ^^

Sun noon we went to visit godmum... brought her and goddad to eat. Northpoint looks mighty different now, so much bigger n more hip than before. but of course, the northpoint i knew was in rather ancient times.. XP when i was but a really young girl. Ate at the XinWang HK Cafe. YUMMY! had congee, ordered century eggs as extra sides and a yuan yang (coffee/tea) drink. and the lot of us shared a host of dim sums - shrimp dumplings, siew mai, glutinous rice, chee cheong fun, fried carrot cake, braised pork ribs.. and the list goes on.. DROOL! haha. Walked around a little then headed home. Napped for an hour then i went off to meet the sisterzz at Coro. haha. Nostalgic setting and food at curry wok haa. Lovely lovely company too. Hearing lotsa stories about the local unis and juniors.. makes me rmb how different it is. But oh well. each has its perks. Did you know there's new york new york and starbucks at coro now? how weird is that? HAHA. but nice. it's now where shell used to be. So it's kinda on the external.. after dinner we trotted to island creamery n shared a tub of ice cream whee~ n then goodbye ):

Came Monday.. Went to Bugis with Xinyi. That's the place we met! heh. Shared goss as usual. updated each other on our lives.. Ate at another char chan teng, the one at bugis.. forgot its name. but i absolutely love their herbal "pao fan" (rice soaked in herbal soup). Also had their milk tea n lovely soup. after a vvv long lunch (haha cos we had so much to chat!), we went to bugis village to shop. wanted to snag lotsa cheap buys la. in the end i stopped myself, so we both didn't really buy anything. except for the coloured hair extensions on our head now :P it's this indigo bundle of hair that they attached to our existing hair. i had two bundles. she has one. i feel like getting a few more LOL. cos the ones i have now are too few (just 2) and not v obvious. think a few more will have a nicer effect aha. i'm going bugis again tmr.. so we'll see. After that, I rushed off to Vivo to meet gege (: Apparently Ekin Cheng was at the cinema or sth, but uh.. we were simply drawn away by dinner.. steamboat!! niceee :D We had mala/chicken broth pot. yumms. think if we didn't have time constraints we'd eat lots lots more. but yea. we were already abt half hour late for the movie when we ended dinner. altho GV DOES play lotsa adverts before the film starts. so we just missed a little.. thanks gege for the treats la. seriously mineral water is not enough to pay back lor. loll. heartss.

Tues.. went with mummy to perm eyelash lol! Right after it was done, i thought it was really curly on one side and not the other, quite dissatisfied. But i was in a rush to meet Flo jie for dinner so i didn't say much. ha. but today i realised that in fact the other side's also reasonably curled. and a little mascara helps! ha. so yea. Dinner with Flo Jie was @ RENN Thai .. Clarke Quay. Nicee. HAd a BBQ Platter, Tom Yam Soup, Glass Noodles and Kang Kong! Had a coconut each too. yummers! Hadn't had thai food in a while too.. also thanks so much for this treat jie! Enjoyed it. similarly, photos up at a later date. ha.

Sadly, clubbing didn't happen with the La Trobe babes ): I was gonna wear that corset tube i bought. haha. Mandy! u'd have loved it la. ^^ nvm i'll bring it back to Aus as promised.. guess i'll only see u girls when we fly.. and jerilyn n gen. we'll see each other in melb!

Didn't go back to HC/NY ): didn't get to see faith or Ry.. sigh. I was feeling very sneezy n weak. In the end when i dragged myself out today, i felt better. so i think it was just lethargy on a roll.. gah.

Well, tmr is gonna be a full day of outings again. so till then~

Back @ IFP!

Wow it's been some time since I've met my IFP friends (sibs and relative apparently ha).. was very excited to see them again! Went down to office yesterday to lunch with them and to say hi to everyone too (:

Called Gege over the intercom and she pretended like she didn't know me again. That was very expected though, but yay when i went in! The first person i get to see is obviously her la! Put down my barang barangs and hugged her hehe. Then said hi to May Wong and Sandy before surprising Yie Tze heh! Also said hi to Iva along the way. (:

Since Mag jie was away at the loo, i took her tee and bear to her table and tried to surprise her. That didn't work out though, cos she saw me at yie tze's door before she got to her table hehe. but she was mad happy to see her starbucks bear ahaha.

We then trotted down and cabbed to compass point for yummy Ajisen Ramen! :D Yummy food, can be seen in previous post heh. After lunch, we headed back to office where we camwhored a little, and I also got to see Shenthil, Stella, Michelle, Soh Buay, Josh, Keith, Alex.. everyone la. ha. Surprise of the day... Shenthil is a La Trobe Grad too! haha. but she did her degree long dist i think. Passed her some rocky roads (choc w marshmallow kind of treat) to share with everyone, not sure how that works out but oh well. If you get to eat it, let me know if it's nice ha.

Finally got to meet Ah Lut! So Ke Ai~ He's really built detailed-ly and he can stand. and has a tail. Superb wonderdog la (: Credits to Yie Tze...her pride and joy. in fact gotta plug her here! (more on Ah Lut and fashion) Oh yes, and to everyone else, this is my new look! heh.

Foodfest!

hellooo. man, i was supposed to reveal the insides of a giant kinder days ago. my apologies. i've been out and about. and lazy too when i'm actually at the comp haha ^^

So, took a few photos of the food so far, uploaded them and decided this post will be on food. heh.

First home cooked meal after i landed in SG... stirfry broccoli, steamed pomfret(?), Chili squid! and soup and rice as usual -hearts-

Bak Kut Teh near vivo. The fatty spare rib is nicer :D and there's doughstickS! not bad, and great company after a nice movie (: Oh did i mention how awesome it felt to be out, cos this was my first 'outing' after being back :D

Went visiting relatives on Sunday, brought the Australian nuts + chocs, and muffins I made to uncles and aunt. This was lunch @ taste of thailand (in sembawang, tried?). Chilli fish, deep fried cuttlefish, pineapple rice, kailan.. there was also sambal kang kong not pictured. ha. Didn't get to take dinner. but some zi char near aunt's place. super awesome, malaysian chef i heard!

Ajisen Ramen. YUMMERS!! Tomyam Ramen. I love spicy food! moremoremore.

So much for trying to lose weight back home. Well, I will try to do some exercise soon, no doubt. I can't resist the variety of food here... ooh bought 1A curry puffs just now after knitting lesson.. shall devour it later. the best! oh yes. someone pls go on a local food adventure. i want fried oyster, the bbq seafood stuff, malay food... kambing soup!

went visiting my relatives today.. baked a whole buncha muffins for them all yay. i a bit scared tho, did two batches and already tired of mixing lol. my oven hasn't worked as optimally as back in Aus too, so take quite long. so we'll see how that goes. cos i think i can probably make another batch. which i'll do before visiting ifp.. haha. but the number of muffins i've to make is a big question mark tho. booooooo.

promised to rant about krisworld last post, so i shall now.

There's been an obvious drop in standards in the SQ inflight entertainment! Air travel has always been quite bad for me. I like travelling, but i hate the journey. mostly cos i hate long long plane flights where i have nothing to do. Then i found SIA!

I remember a few years back taking SQ to Gold Coast, and I was dreading the journey as usual. but the inflight entertainment had tons of selection for songs/movies/tv programmes. kept me at my seat.. entertained.. and satisfied. and before i knew it, I was in Aus! I always remember that feeling I got.. and I wasn't disappointed in Feb this year too when I took the plane to Melb. But omigosh. it was horrid!!!!! (to say the least) when we came back. I'm sure Amanda and Qimin can testify to this too.

First of all, the krisworld thing kept hanging. and image kept skipping. I heard similar complaints from the passengers sitting behind me too.. thinking that it was just initial bumps, i just paid no mind and waited. but it never got better. A while later, I managed to get into krisworld menu, but even though there's a choice of movie we get, it doesn't play on demand... so we've already missed at least 20mins of the start just cos the system wasn't displaying previously. Not to mention, there wasn't much choice at all. And we were largely bored...

TV programmes. there was a menu with several programmes... a guise that we actually had a choice. I selected "My name is Earl" and it's playing some other show which I've no clue what it was. Proceeded to select some other show, and it didn't work too. Basically, the shows kept playing in a certain order, whether or not you like it. If you missed it, then aww too bad. rah.

So maybe we could rely on some good ol' music? When i flew to melb in feb, i rmb being able to select my fav songs and putting them on a playlist and listen to them like my own personal player. Well, that function was definitely non-existent. Amanda and I were both disappointed cos we have been telling Qimin that she missed out that awesome function and she didn't have to load her ipod with new songs! Well, lucky she did. so she still had her ipod of songs. To be fair, the audio wasn't TOOO bad. but i was never a fan of fixed playlists/radio selections on board.

overall, variety was horrible. and the system kept screwing up. Now I don't rightly know if the fault lies with the aircraft, the particular flight or the programming... but I definitely rmb it being way better before. And i can only imagine why.. (a change of production perhaps?) I just hope SQ realises how impt quality is.

i'm home!

hellohello! i'm back in Singapore! :D As the readers know, i had the flu before coming back...and towards the end I had itchy throat and started coughing. so i think this cough has exaggerated muchly cos i did not watch what i eat (think chocs n stuff) and cos i kept talking in my excitement back. Not to mention i found my hoarse voice sexy, so i kept talking. LOL!

So... now i'm left with.. no voice. none at all. haha.

Saw a doc today. he just gave me some meds and told me to not talk for 48 hours. sounds like a plan. hopefully that really works. cos now i've been writing/typing/texting. and whispering word-sounding breaths of air. haha. oh but no worries. i'm pretty much fine, although still blowing my nose. which might scare ppl outside so i shall still remain quarantined haha.

Had not realised i left quite a whole load of possessions back in sg. to my absolute horror, there are random things in my room now. it's like a semi-storage area for everyone! RAH! i'm gonna do some cleaning and packing. gonna be way more ruthless about what i wanna throw and keep. esp. my wardrobe. had not rmb-ed it to be that full. :S and i still brought clothes back! haha. but i brought the sleeveless ones back cos i'd been warned it'd be hot here. and... it is! and humid. but at least no cracked skin.. cracked lips. and shivering in the night.. and day! using my trusty fan now to keep me from perspiring.. phew~

oh yea, got back yesterday... landed about 1538. twas good. earlier than expected which made 3 of us really happy. haha. but got delayed quite a bit.. cos we changed before coming out.. and since i declared my flu symptoms, they detained me a bit just to take my temp and give me health warning. but it's all good. took about.. 5-10 mins i guess. and bought baileys. had so much stuff on my hands so i couldn't get more. think i'll get absolut vanilla when i'm heading back to melb. kinda regret now, not bringing back some Aussie beer. but i knew i definitely would've trouble carrying them all back. Also forgot to get vegemite.. haha. for my bread-spreading and u know.. taste-testing for my friends. they most probably will hate it anyway. but still! haha.

so anyways, since i've gotta stay home for now.. am gonna pick up my knitting from where i left off. i still rmb how to! yay me. gonna finish up this hoodie and wear it when i'm back. w00t! altho now i'm not sure if it'll be useful? Melb is seriously COLD. and i think it'll only be colder when we get back cos it's further into winter.. oh well!

Any aussie frens reading this, we're back safely! altho u might've seen us active on facebook already.. (: Hope u guys r having fun. and to my sg peeps, hit me here, text me, fb me.. anything. set a date and we'll go rock it out!! can probably start with next mon! wed not free. the rest should be all set for now :D will post my "outing schedule" on the right somewhere as and when things pop up yea? xoxoxoxoxoxo

i'm gonna be back soon~~ in just 2 days!! i'll be getting down to serious packing later. will possibly make a short trip to northland tmr to buy any loose stuff i missed out and if my luggage weight has not already exceeded lol!

i'm not looking forward to the quarantine thingie tho. hope it's not a compulsory thing that's too long. i don't mind quarantine.. i just don't think it's necessary for it to be that long? i've been in melb for some time now. went to city and blabla. still not really affected. ok, maybe i'm no prime example of a healthy person considering i just had the flu. (but i recovered quick!) my friends have been all clear too.. see? i've been responsible. and i'll be N95-masking all the 7+hours way back!! we'll just see how the situation goes..

Joee has just left for his friend's place. Flying early morning back to Adelaide. He'll be travelling around I heard. so hope he has fun (:

wh000~~ i'm EXCITED!!

blowing my nose off now ): but way better than last night. ached at all my joints and was feeling so chilly.. argh. have not stepped out of the room except to boil more water and to pee..

thanks to min and mandy who've been great.. they went to buy flu meds and lunch for me. left it at my door yay.

my throat hurt badly last night, but had to force myself to drink lotsa water. about 2 cups per 2 hours. where i'll wake up and go pee. took panadol @ intervals.. i don't know how i manage to stay conscious enough to rmb when to take the meds... felt pretty miserable. being alone and sick.. wish there could be someone to take care of me. woke up in the morning. knowing i need to take more pills, but since i haven't eaten anything.. had to boil myself some water to make milo. haa. it was all pretty bleak. sitting alone in the room, aching away.. feeling really sick. gah.

but anyway, i'm feeling quite a bit better now. altho nowhere near full recovery. gotta wait before eating the flu meds that the girls bought tho, cos i had panadol earlier..

can't finish this lunch. think i'll stop. drink up and go sleep again. hopefully to a much better me... cyaa.

Blogging despite how i'm feeling now. Had a sudden bout of strange flu-ish feelings when I headed out today ): Drank water, didn't seem to help a whole lot. Hung on anyway, now i'm getting mild muscle aches. Oh NOOOO. just really hope it's not h1n1. well, even if it is, hopefully i'll get by real quick. and i'll be home all bright and shiny. :P I really don't know how I'm doing this now though. gonna pile on more fluids later. had a panadol. promise myself to sleep right after this..

So today I went out to Northland to do some shopping. Wanted to get this navy bag from cotton on body as my hand-carry luggage, but to my disappointment is now out of stock. Bummer. I gotta figure sth else to carry my stuff back in. (will check out city outlets heh) Then dropped by Supre to scour for great finds. (they're having 50% off sales on selected items now) whee~ I wasn't disappointed this time.

Love the white racer-chick bikini tee haa. It's gonna give others a real spanking illusion about my figure wahaha. It was a tad amusing when I wore it for Min's viewing just now, apparently she couldn't stop staring at my fake cleavage. haha. My my, this looks like fun when I next wear it lol! If you're also a fan of How I Met Your Mother, do you guys remember when Robin wore the dress with the bikini-clad body too? During Marshall and Lily's "elopement"? Gotta love that.

Cute pastel yellow tee, in very comfy fabric.. love the sillhouete of the bunnies. This was an easter tee if i'm not wrong. Now on clearance.. a whole buncha twilight-inspired tees on sale too, but i'm not so much of a fan, so didn't get any.

Love the lace ribbon print on the pink spag. it's a very sweet pink.. and i just love ribbons. and black lace. (and hearts too btw.) just a girly girl in this aspect.. will probably bring all 3 back to sg. Heard it's HOT HOT HOT back home! but can't wait to wear my sleeveless clothing again. it's been just soooo cold here lately. especially today. cryy.

Mandy made a comment that the bunnies on my tee looks like two "Roobits"! That's Roobit, he's a kangaroo.. but looks quite rabbit-like. A quirky dude named him :P

Oh yes, 1st south jumpers have arrived too! Any 1st south-ers here, u can take a sneak preview of the front today.. haa. will bring this back to SG too. just to show it off LOL!

Yep, also bought some stuff from the supermart and other shops.. I only took a pic of my own stuff here. Got some other trinkets for family and friends, which I am not photographing now, cos that'd take away any element of surprise..

Starburst gummies are the best gummies EVER!!! their texture and chewiness is rather unbeatable and the flavour is great too. got a bag for bro since he and I both love gummies. Gotta share the love~ hehe.

Oh yes, we've chosen our seats for the flight back to Sg (: It's happening! I'll be back soon!! Miss all you lovelies back home. reallyyy. in fact, i bought so many gifts i don't know if I've enough luggage weight left to bring my own stuff back. yeowch!

On the last note, before I seriously concuss.. (urgh i still've to collect my laundry from the dryer...) I noticed that I've quite many more visitors than I expected. Which I'm happy about of course. Some strangers reading the blog too! Would just like to say.. I have every intention for strangers to be reading the blog.. and i absolutely encourage commenting! I'd like the blog to be a communicative thingie. both ways!
